How The Royals Celebrate St. Patrick's Day
One of the most famous national holidays is the Irish St. Patrick's Day, which is celebrated every year on March 17th. Typically, all the royals have looked stunning in green. While Prince William and Duchess Kate usually visit a parade and drink Guinness, Monaco celebrates on a bit of a smaller scale.
First and foremost, St. Patrick's Day is of course celebrated in the British royal house. Two years ago, Duchess Kate was pregnant and in green at the Irish Parade in London. But because of her pregnancy she could only toast to St. Patrick's Day with water.
St. Patrick's Day with the Royals in England and Monaco
After the annual parade of the Irish Guards in the Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow, Duchess Kate and her husband Prince William also enjoyed a hearty pint of Guinness. But St. Patrick's Day is not only celebrated in the British Isles; it is also a special day for other royals in Europe.
This picture shows among other things a sweet snapshot that Princess Charlène of Monaco, took showing her twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella radiating joy under a homemade St. Patrick's Day sign last year.
St. Patrick's Day this year however will be celebrated a little bit differently around the world. With many parades and celebrations being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully everyone can find a way to celebrate in their home while practicing social distancing! Cheers to a safe and healthy St. Patrick's Day 2020!
