How The Royals Celebrated St. Patrick's Day

One of the most famous national holidays is the Irish St. Patrick's Day, which is celebrated every year on March 17th. On Sunday, all the royals looked stunning in green. While Prince William and Duchess Kate visited a parade and drank Guinness, Monaco celebrated on a bit of a smaller scale.

First and foremost, St. Patrick's Day is of course celebrated in the British royal house. Last year Duchess Kate (37) was pregnant and in green at the Irish Parade in London. But because of her pregnancy she could only toast to St. Patrick's Day with water last year.

After the annual parade of the Irish Guards in the Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow, Duchess Kate and her husband Prince William (36) also enjoyed a hearty pint of Guinness. But St. Patrick's Day is not only celebrated in the British Isles; Sunday was also a special day for other royals in Europe.

This picture shows among other things a sweet snapshot that Princess Charlène of Monaco (41), took showing her twins Prince Jacques (4) and Princess Gabriella (4) radiating joy under a homemade St. Patrick's Day sign.
