Last week, Meghan Markle made a surprise video appearance on America's Got Talent. But royal fans were not only excited by the Duchess's TV message — they also discovered an exciting detail in her California home! Read on to find out what sparked such great interest and a connection to the Danish royal family.

Meghan Markle shares enthusiasm for an artist who's also a favourite of Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. This detail was spotted in a recent video message delivered by the Duchess of Sussex on America's Got Talent

Meghan Markle is a fan of Danish photographer Marc Höm

In Meghan's AGT video appearance, she was seated in front of a bookshelf. It turns out one of the visible works is a photo book by Danish photographer Marc Höm. Harry and Meghan are owners of Profiles by Höm, who has ties to the Danish royal family.

Höm was one of a select group of four photographers with whom Mary created the photo book HKH Kronprins Frederik on Frederik's 50th birthday. The photographer was already a member of the couple's circle of friends. He is also married to the younger sister of Mary's former lady-in-waiting, Caroline Heering, and lives with her in New York. Mary and Frederik even attended their wedding.

Duchess Meghan on America's Got Talent and voting

Who would have thought that Duchess Meghan, who recently encouraged Americans to vote, is a fan of the photographer? In the AGT video message, Meghan not only showed her beautiful Santa Barbara home, but also supported a very special contestant on the show.

Archie Williams, who competed with his vocal talents, was imprisoned for decades on falsely-convicted charges of rape and attempted murder. Meghan encouraged him again in her message and crossed her fingers for him. But Williams ultimately came up short for the 2020 season, with victory going to spoken word poet Brandon Leake.
