Oprah Says She Supports Harry and Meghan's Exit "1,000 Percent"
The world is overwhelmingly putting a lot of attention on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry amidst their decision to step down as senior working members of the British royal family. Oprah has now spoken out in support of the couple.
While out in New York City on Tuesday night with her best friend Gayle King, Oprah was approached by TMZ and asked to give a statement about her opinion on the so called "Megxit" that has been taking the world by storm.
Oprah support Meghan and Harry "1,000 Percent"
"I support them 1,000 percent. You know why I support them? I support them because I believe, when you have thought about this as long as they have — and even in the Queen’s statement [she] says, ‘This has been going on for months,’ these discussions have been going on for months — and when Harry said in that charity statement the other day [that] he had to make the decision to move forward in peace with his new family, who doesn’t feel what that takes to make that decision to give up everything you’ve known your whole life to say I’m going to choose this new life or what I believe to be the truest vision for myself?" Oprah expressed as found on People.
Oprah: "Who are any of us to stand in judgement of that?"
The media mogul continued: "Who are any of us to stand in judgement of that? He did what he needed to do for his family. I don’t think anybody has any right to say anything. When a person has thought what is the best decision to make for my family and then he makes that decision — none of us have any right to say anything about that," Oprah told TMZ.
Both Oprah and King have been long supporters of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Last year, Oprah even announced a partnership with Harry for a new Apple health series. Gayle King was also in attendance at Meghan's New York City baby shower in February.
Oprah had nothing to do with Megxit
Although Oprah is very proud of the couple for the decision they made, she has stated that she had nothing to do with their royal exit.
