Prince Harry sincerely hopes to give his young son Archie the "childhood he always wanted," a source has revealed to People. In recent months, the Duke of Sussex has focused his free time on caring for his son and spending time outdoors. The family of three has been living in California amid the pandemic and lockdown period.

Prince Harry, heir to a traumatic personal story, has decided to stop the pattern and give his son, Archie, the "childhood he always wanted," according to a close source. Reportedly, Harry, 36, doesn't want his son to experience the media scrutiny and personal tragedies that he did in his youth, as the son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.

"Harry wants to give Archie the childhood he always wanted," the source told People. "They are both extremely attentive parents… They spend a ton of time outside, and both Harry and Meghan love to play—all the private space is a dream for them."

Prince Harry recently opened up about a benefit of lockdown coming in the form of family time and close attention to Archie's growth. Due to the lack of travel and outings, he told Malala Yousafzai that he and Meghan were both able to see "his first steps, his first run, his first fall, his first everything."

"Our little man is our number one priority, our work is the second priority so we are just trying to do everything we can on our part to make the world a better place," Harry, the brother of Prince William, said recently.

Currently, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, live with Archie in a mansion in Santa Barbara, California. In addition, they've been hard at work on speaking projects and their new roles as producers of original content for Netflix.
