Prince Philip Involved in Car Crash Near Sandringham

On Thursday afternoon, Prince Philip was involved in a car crash with another vehicle close to the Sandringham Estate. He was not injured in the crash.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the 97 year old Duke of Edinburgh was in a road traffic accident between two vehicles on the afternoon of Thursday January 17th. A spokesperson has confirmed that Prince Philip is not injured

According to Hello Magazine, a statement released by the palace said: "The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle this afternoon. The Duke was not injured. The accident took place close to the Sandringham Estate. Local police attended the scene."

The Queen and the Duke to remain in Sandringham

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene and two people in one of the vehicles suffered minor injuries. A doctor did look at the Duke following the accident as a precaution and confirmed that he was not injured. With Prince Philip and the Queen having spent the last few weeks on the Sandringham Estate, they have been able to spend some private quality time together. They are expected to stay there until early February, as it is tradition to mark the anniversary of the Queen's father's death in private.
