Prince Philip Is Back Behind The Wheel
Prince Philip was involved in a crash on January 17th, 2019 where he crashed into an oncoming Kia with two women and a nine month old baby inside. His car flipped and he was able to walk away from the accident injury free. He voluntarily gave up his license shortly after the crash.
Prince Philip was seen back behind the wheel nearly one week ago driving for the first time since giving up his drivers license after the car collision in January. The Duke of Edinburgh no longer carries out royal duties, therefore he has plenty of time on his hands.
Prince Philip Drives Again
On Thursday April 18th, 2019, he was photographed for the first time behind the wheel driving around Windsor Castle in his Land Rover. Prince Philip does not have a license, however he is legally allowed to drive without one so long as he stays within the private estate's grounds. This statement was previously made clear by the Palace.
The Duke of Edinburgh was alone for his drive as Queen Elizabeth II was on an outing at The Maundy Service at St. George's Chapel on Thursday.
