The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William and The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry have announced that the statue of their late mother Princess Diana is officially scheduled to be unveiled on a meaningful day. Her statue will be erected on Kensington Palace grounds so the lives she touched can "reflect on her life and legacy."

Kensington Palace has just announced the statue of beloved Princess Diana will be unveiled on July 1st, 2021, on what would have been her 60th birthday. The BBC reported that the statue, commissioned by her sons Prince William and Prince Harry is intended "to recognize her positive impact in the UK and around the world."
Prince Harry and Prince William first commissioned the statue on the 20th anniversary of her death. It will be placed in the Sunken Garden of the London Palace where Diana loved to visit and where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement.
"Our mother touched so many lives" the Princes said on the anniversary of her passing. William was only 15 years old, and Harry a mere 12 years old when their mother's bright life was cut short on August 31st, 1997, in the horrific car crash caused by paparazzi dangerously chasing the car she was in.
Princess Diana's legacy will live on and the hearts she touched will have a beautiful statue to look on and pay respects to at Kensignton Palace for her 60th birthday. Prince William and Prince Harry are honoring their mother in this beautiful and heartwarming way.
