Prince William & Duchess Kate Delivered An Important Nationwide Radio Broadcast Today
On Monday, Prince William and Kate Middleton's Heads Together campaign joined forces with radio stations across the UK for an important message! Learn more about their Mental Health Awareness Week efforts below...
On Monday morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kicked off the UK's Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 with a nationwide radio broadcast.
The week, which runs May 18 through May 24, is an educational and awareness-raising cause in support of mental health. This year's event takes on additional weight as well, given the stresses imposed by the COVID-19 crisis.
William and Kate's one-minute message, called the "Mental Health Minute," was broadcast at 10:59 a.m. on nearly every radio station in the UK.
"We're all connected. And sometimes just talking about how you're feeling can make a big difference. So right now, let's join together across the UK and reach out to someone," Prince William said in the message.

Kate Middleton also added supportive words in the Mental Health Minute, which drove home a message of unity, compassion, and openness.
"If you're struggling, it's important to talk about it. Or if someone you know is acting differently, it's OK to ask how they are. Use this moment to send a message," the Duchess said.
The Cambridges were joined in the message by musician Dua Lipa, Doctor Who actor David Tennant, football star Harry Kane, and boxer Anthony Joshua, adding a mix of generations and sports and entertainment angles to the effort.
