Royal Exit: This Is How Meghan Comforted Prince Harry During His Most Emotional Moment
Prince Harry experienced a very emotional moment during one of his last royal engagements and his wife Duchess Meghan was by his side. Find out how she comforted him ahead of their royal exit!
Harry and Meghan recently attended their final round of royal engagements in the United Kingdom. Although stepping back as senior members of the royal family was their decision, their last days as senior royals were a mix of emotions for both, especially for Harry.
On March 7, Harry and Meghan attended the Mountbatten Festival of Music, a tribute to Britain's armed forces marking the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the 80th anniversary of the formation of Britain's Commandos. For the occasion, Harry decided to wear his red military uniform for the last time, representing his role as Captain General of the Royal Marines - he served in the Army for 10 years.
This was Harry's most emotional moment and how Meghan comforted him
According to royal sources, that was the most emotional moment for Harry. After serving in the Army for a decade and following his royal exit, his honorary positions will be suspended. "That’s 10 years of his life that he gave to serve his country, and he basically has to give it away now because he’s choosing to protect his family," sources added. Harry will still support service members through charity work and his Invictus Games.
During the Mountbatten Festival of Music 2020, Meghan Markle couldn't help but showing her love and support to Harry. It is well known that they have each other's backs, and this time Meghan's sweet gesture was keeping a tight grip on her husband's hand throughout the event, where they received a standing ovation as they took their seats at the ceremony.
Harry and Meghan moved to Canada with baby Archie earlier this year. Last year, Harry reportedly started telling his close friends that he wanted a "fresh start" and needed to put his family first. Sources believe "he is obviously very devoted to Meghan."
