On March 7, Harry and Meghan attended the Mountbatten Festival of Music, a tribute to Britain's armed forces marking the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the 80th anniversary of the formation of Britain's Commandos. For the occasion, Harry decided to wear his red military uniform for the last time, representing his role as Captain General of the Royal Marines - he served in the Army for 10 years.

According to royal sources, that was the most emotional moment for Harry. After serving in the Army for a decade and following his royal exit, his honorary positions will be suspended. "That’s 10 years of his life that he gave to serve his country, and he basically has to give it away now because he’s choosing to protect his family," sources added. Harry will still support service members through charity work and his Invictus Games.
