The Royal Family's post revealed some fascinating details about Beatrice's wedding day attire as well. She wore a vintage dress by Norman Hartnell, and the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara. Both are said to belong to the Queen, who even wore the tiara on her own wedding day back in 1947.
The two pictures also show the setting at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor. The Queen, who was reportedly the "guest of honour," and the Duke of Edinburgh made the short trip from Windsor Castle to the chapel for the Friday morning ceremony. The proud grandparents take in the view of the newly married couple in the first shot, while Beatrice and Edoardo are seen immersed in flowers upon exiting the chapel in the second.
Princess Beatrice's wedding: Photos with Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson on the way?
It's thought that around 20 guests attended the wedding, but, for now, the full guest list remains undetermined. It was known that the Queen and Prince Philip were in attendance, as were Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. The Duke of York reportedly walked his daughter down the aisle, while Mapelli Mozzi's 3-year-old son Christopher ("Wolfie") was the best man. We hope to see further photos!
Beatrice and Edoardo had last planned to marry on May 29, but the ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There was no word on a rescheduled date until the sudden announcement that they had tied the knot in a secret July 17 ceremony.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
