Did you know that the Queen receives a very special gift every Monday? Since it is well known that Her Majesty loves plants and flowers, she is given a posy from the gardens of Buckingham Palace, which is carefully selected by the Gardens Manager!

In 2017, it was revealed that the Queen had discovered a renewed interest in gardening! She often surprises everyone with her extensive knowledge about plants. That's why, according to royal experts, those who pick her flowers for the posy she gets every week must choose a really careful selection.

The Buckingham Palace garden is maintained by eight full-time gardeners, plus two additional part-times. Located at the rear west of the palace, the garden is listed as Grade II on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. A mulberry tree, for instance, is part of the varied and exotic planting!
