Report: The Queen Is Determined To Return To Public Duty "As Soon As Possible"

The Queen is reportedly determined to return to public duty "as soon as possible".

The Queen has reportedly urged other senior members of the royal family to step up to public duties amid crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. She has asked for the family to present a "united front" during these trying times!

According to a report by the Mirror, Queen Elizabeth II wants to return to frontline duties "as soon as possible" but, until then, has decided to sanction more senior members of the royal family to step up during the coronavirus crisis.

While the Queen has had to extend her self-isolation and will be stuck at Windsor Castle for the foreseeable future, her son Prince Edward and his wife Sophie Wessex will be taking on more duties in the meantime. Her Majesty is reportedly in constant contact with Prince Charles and Prince William.

The Queen is "more determined than ever to return"!

Royal sources have said to the Mirror that the Queen is "more determined than ever to return when the time is right" - amid the COVID-19 pandemic, senior royal aides have created a group that is called the Royal Task Force which has the goal to extend the royal family's public presence.

"Her Majesty has given instructions that, after a turbulent period for the family last year," the source continued. "[...] now is the time to heal and have a united front and get back to the basics of what the monarchy is for – her sole belief is that it goes back to the basics of duty."

Queen Elizabeth II wants a "united front"

At the moment, Prince William and Duchess Catherine are the ones at the forefront, since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have left for North America. The Cambridges have had a constant presence in the public eye, making Zoom calls with frontline workers, school staff and various charitable organisations.

"There is going to be a lot more interaction between the family members while the crisis is ongoing," the source also told the Mirror.
