It was THE royal wedding of the year. Millions watched worldwide as Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan tied the knot in style!
It was the second royal wedding of they year, but no less exciting. Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank on 12th October in St. George's Chapel.
The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis, on 23rd April 2018. The young prince was christened on 9th July in The Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace.
Queen Elizabeth II caused a stir earlier this year when she was photographed sitting next to the Queen of Fashion, Anna Wintour, at London Fashion Week. The Queen watched Richard Quinn's runway show before presenting him with the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
The Prince of Wales celebrated his 70th birthday on 14th November. The Queen hosted a birthday party for Charles at Buckingham Palace and a selection of stamps were released to mark the Prince's seventieth decade. The selection included this lovely portrait of Prince Charles with his sons Prince Harry and Prince William.
Fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were delighted when the couple announced that they were expecting their first child in October. While we don't know yet whether Meghan and Harry are having a boy or a girl, we do know that the newest member of the Royal Family will be arriving in Spring 2019!
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice graced the cover of British Vogue this year. Princess Eugenie proudly posted a picture form the shoot along with the following comment on her Instagram account: "I’m very proud to be in the September issue of Vogue alongside my beautiful big sister talking about our bond, who we are and what we stand for. Thank you to the wonderful team at Vogue, @seanthomas_photo and @edward_enninful for asking us to be part of your journey".
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan went on their first royal tour in October this year. They visited Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
One of the best TV programmes of the year saw two of Great Britain's national treasures, the Queen and Sir David Attenborough, “In a rare opportunity to see the Queen talking informally to Sir David, taking a walk through the Buckingham Palace gardens and discussing everything from climate change, to conkers and birthday gifts.
