The TV show LOST premiered on ABC in September 2004 and became an immediate hit. It follows the survivors of the crash of a commercial passenger jet, flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, on a mysterious tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific. LOST lasted for six seasons and ended in 2010, after winning one Golden Globe and a total of eight Emmy Awards. But what are the stars of the cast up to these days?

The Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly portrayed “Kate Austen” for all six seasons. She boards the flight as a fugitive but none of the other survivors know that. She too becomes one of the leaders of the group and manages to escape the island with "Jack".
Evangeline Lilly started out as a model and only began acting three years before she was cast for the pilot episode. He role as “Kate” earned her several nominations, including one for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Drama. Ever since LOST wrapped, she only appeared in productions for the big screen. Most moviegoers know her from her role as “Tauriel” in the second and third films of the The Hobbit trilogy and from her role in Marvel’s Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Josh Holloway plays “James Ford” who his fellow survivors only know as “Sawyer”. A couple years before boarding Flight 815, he’d taken on the name of the con man, who is responsible for his parents’ death when he was still a child, and whom he’s been hunting ever since. He himself became a con man and started going by the name “Tom Sawyer – the same name his sworn enemy used back in the day.
Josh started out as a model and began acting in the late nineties until he got his big break with the role of “Sawyer”. Since then, he has appeared in movies such as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Sabotage. These days, he is the lead in the TV show Colony, which ran on on CBS from 2016 until 2018.
Terry O’Quinn played the role of “John Locke”, who came onto the plane in a wheelchair. After the crash, the unthinkable happens: he can suddenly walk. He figures that the mysterious island seems to have a special power, which has healed him so he tries to sabotage the plans to get off the island by any means necessary.
Before he joined the cast of LOST, Terry had only had smaller parts in film and TV. The role as “Locke” brought him fame and he even won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. After LOST, he was featured in shows such as Falling Skies and Secrets and Lies. Since 2015, he has a supporting role in the Amazon show Patriot.
For 98 episodes, Naveen Andrews portrayed “Sayid Jarrah”, a former member of the Iraqi Army, who initially has to deal with a lot of prejudice from the other survivors. After a while, he emerges as one of the leaders and eventually becomes one of the 'Oceanic Six', who manages to get off the island.
Naveen’s portrayal of “Kip Singh” in the 1996 Oscar contender the The English Patient might have made him widely famous, but LOST is really the biggest hit of his career. He also appeared in other movies, including The Brave One (2007) and Diana (2013). From 2015 to 2017, he was part of the cast of the Netflix series Sense8. Naveen Andrews has two children with two different women.
Jorge Garcia plays the role of “Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes”. Some months before getting on Flight 815, he won the lottery and with it 114 million dollars. Throughout the series, he is again and again confronted with the numbers he used on his winning lottery ticket but does not find any explanation for why they keep coming up. With his easygoing attitude, “Hurley” constantly manages to lighten up the mood among the survivors.
Aside from being part of the main cast of LOST for over six years, he also appeared in many supporting roles afterwards on shows like How I Met Your Mother, Californication and Once Upon A Time. During the last season of LOST, he and his girlfriend Bethany James Leigh Shady did a podcast about the show. Ever since 2013, he is part of the main cast of Hawaii Five-O.
Kim’s role is that of the Korean fisherman’s son “Jin-Soo Kwon”. He crashed on the island together with his wife, “Sun”, whom he married a couple of years earlier. To be able to be with her, he had to work for her father, “Mr. Paik” who made him do unspeakably violent things. “Jin” has changed a lot while working for him, so “Sun” wanted to leave him. He only speaks Korean and has trouble communicating with the other survivors.
Before joining the cast of LOST, Daniel Dae-Kim had been in some TV shows such as Crusade, 24 and movies like Hulk and Spider-Man 2. From 2010 until 2017, he was part of the main cast of CBS’ Hawaii Five-O, alongside his former LOST co-star Jorge Garcia.
Kim Yunjin plays the role of “Sun-Hwa Kwon”, “Mr. Paik’s” daughter and “Jin’s” wife. Her parents weren’t really happy when she married “Jin”, since they had always wanted her to marry the successful owner of the “Seoul Gateway Hotel”, “Jae Lee”. On the island, “Jin” and her become parents of “Ji Yeon” and she too becomes one of the famous “Oceanic Six” who make it back to the mainland.
Yunjin mainly does Korean film and TV productions but from 2013 to 2016, she was one of the leads in the U.S. TV series The Mistresses, alongside Alyssa Milano. She is a very passionate dancer and married her manager Park Jeong-Hyuk in 2010.
Emilie de Ravin’s character “Claire Littleton” was eight months pregnant when she boarded the plane and on her way to the couple, who wanted to adopt her child. On the island, she gives birth to her son “Aaron” and falls in love with her fellow survivor “Charlie Pace”. Before “Ben” turns the wheel, “Claire” disappears in mysterious circumstances.
Movie fans know the Australian actress from films like Carrie or Public Enemies. In 2010, she was in the movie Remember Me, together with Robert Pattinson. Ever since 2012, she is part of the main cast of ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
Ian Somerhalder’s character “Boone Carlyle” also tried to be one of the group’s leaders, but his volatile demeanor and his relatively young age caused the others not to take him seriously. His stepsister “Shannon” is also among the survivors. “Boone” dies at the end of the first season from injuries he sustained in an accident.
Ian began his career as a model for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci when he was just ten years old. After LOST, he had a couple of smaller parts on shows like Smallville and Tell Me You Love Me. His biggest break came when he was cast in the role of “Damon Salvatore” in the CW fan favorite The Vampire Diaries in 2009. He played the part for 171 episodes until the show’s finale after eight seasons in March 2017.
Dominic Monaghan played the part of “Charlie Pace”, the bass player for the fictitious British band “Drive Shaft”. After the crash, he struggles with his heroin addiction, but manages to overcome it and eventually falls in love with “Claire”. He ultimately gives his life to save the other remaining survivors at the end if the end of the third season.
Before he was cast for the part on LOST, Dominic Monaghan had already had his breakthrough with his role of “Merry Brandybuck” the The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Also, he had a role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and played alongside Megan Fox in Eminem’s music video for the song Love the way you lie. From 2004 until 2009, he was in a relationship with his LOST co-star Evangeline Lilly.
Michelle Rodriguez played “Ana Lucia Cortez”, a former police officer from Los Angeles. She is the leader of the survivors of the plane’s tail section, which landed on a different part of the island. She comes across the island with her group trying to find the rest of the survivors. Ultimately, she is shot and killed by “Michael”.
Michelle had crucial roles in films such as Avatar, The Fast and the Furious and Machete. In 2007, after numerous parole violations, she was sentenced to 180 days in jail. As it turns out, she was released after only 17 days. The reason cited by the judge who released her was the fact that the county only has one women’s jail and it was “bursting at the seams”.
