'Back To The Future': The Cast Then and Now
Back To The Future is one of the most successful film series of all time. The first part of the trilogy was released in 1985 and made the young Michael J. Fox a star all over the world.
The scientist "Doctor Emmett 'Doc' Brown" managed to build a time machine out of a car. With his friend "Marty McFly", he takes on an exciting journey through time and space.
After Back To The Future, Christopher Lloyd appeared in many films and series. He starred in the Addams Family films and had a guest role in Malcolm in the Middle as "Malcolm's" grandpa.
Mary Steenburgen played the teacher "Clara Clayton" in the third part of Back To The Future. "Doc Brown" falls desperately in love with her - in the year 1885!
At 65 years old, Mary Steenburgen looks even more fantastic. She still works regularly in front of the camera and has been married to her colleague Ted Danson since 1995.
In 1985, "Marty McFly", with the help of "Doc Brown's" time machine, travels to the year 1955. There, he meets his parents and must ensure that the two come together so that he will exist in the future!
The Back To The Future franchise was, naturally, a steppingstone for Michael J. Fox. Over the course of the nineties, Michael J. Fox was highly successful starring on shows like Greedy or The American President. Since 1991, Fox suffers from Parkinson's disease. Nevertheless, he‘s still acting and had a great recurring role on the CBS hit show The Good Wife.
"Lorraine Baines" is supposed to marry "George McFly" and later become "Marty's" mother. She is, of course, not aware of this fact and unknowingly falls in love with her own son, as he travels back to 1955.
Over the years, the beautiful Lea Thompson has appeared in some TV movies and had other minor guest roles. From 1995 to 1999, she even had her own sitcom Caroline In The City. For 25 years, she has been married to Director Howard Deutch and has two daughters with him.
In this scene, "Marty McFly" has already travelled to 1955 and meets his father, "George McFly", played by Crispin Glover. "Marty" must now help "George" win "Lorraine's" heart.
After Back To The Future, the actor was mostly featured in independent productions. Many certainly still know him from the film Charlie's Angels.
Ever since they were kids, if was "Biff Tannen's" job to make the shy "George McFly's" life a living hell. He is in love with "Lorraine" and is doing everything possible to prevent "Marty's" matchmaking.
Thomas F. Wilson had his biggest success with Back To The Future and played guest roles on TV series, such as Ghost Whisperer. In addition, he has worked as a voice actor.
Claudia Wells plays "Jennifer Parker", "Marty's" girlfriend in 1985. The pretty actress would have been in the two sequels as well, but her mother was diagnosed with cancer, so she opted out of the role and was then replaced by Elisabeth Shue.
