Mark your calendars: CBS has finally set a date for the premiere of the 15th and final season of Criminal Minds. The show will return right after new years's...!

Criminal Minds is coming back, finally. The popular drama will get a two-hour season 15 premiere on January 8 2020 starting at 9pm ET. After that, the show will resume its regular hour-long episodes. CBS has also already set a date for a two-hour series finale which will air on February 15 at 9pm ET.

Criminal Minds: Season 15 starts on January 8 2020

The final season will consist of ten episodes only but showrunner Erica Messer is fine with that, since she already found out about the cancellation while she was still writing for season 14. Messer said to CinemaBlend earlier this year:

"By the time I found out, there was enough time for us to properly do a season finale and then we knew that we’d have 10 episodes to wrap up the series. [...] As far as that goes, we were treated with incredible respect."

There are still some rumors that Shemar Moore could make a return in season 15. We, like so many fans all over the world, can't wait for the show and "David Rossi's" (Joe Mantegna) team to come back in early 2020! We'll keep you posted with more news on season 15...
