Hilary Swank: will she be reprising her P.S. role in Postscript?

Swank played "Holly" in the original film, a young widow who happens upon a surprising discovery. She finds out that her husband "Gerry" had left behind letters for her, all of which concluded with the words "P.S. I Love You". At this time, it's unsure if Swank or any of the film's original cast will be returning for the sequel.

Postscript: here's what we know about the sequel so far!

Postscript is set to follow "Holly" six years later, when her sister asks her to talk about the letters on her podcast. Holly’s grief then resurfaces when a group of strangers inspired by the story reach out to her seeking guidance on letters of their own. The book is already out in the UK, and will be hitting North American bookshelves later this year.

Ahern says that "while it is a sequel, it is also a story that stands alone about living a purposeful life in the face of illness, grief and loss. I hope that new readers and PS, I Love You fans alike will embrace Holly’s new journey".
