How the Grinch Stole Christmas is an American fantasy-comedy from the year 2000. The film is about the Grinch, a hairy, green creature who lives far away from civilization in a mountain cave. As a child, the "Grinch" has a very traumatic experience, which is why he hates Christmas. When he was young he was made fun of by his classmates because of his appearance, which resulted in him living in "Mount Crumpit", instead of in "Whoville" with all the others. All the "Who's" love Christmas and the "Grinch" does not, so he decides to ruin Chirstmas for everyone. He disguises himself as Santa Claus and builds a sleigh to go to "Whoville" to steal all the decorations and presents. Ultimately, little "Cindy Lou Who" manages to get the "Grinch" to feel the Christmas spirit once again.
"Cindy Lou Who" realizes that the "Grinch" is not as evil as he appears at first glance. She sees that he is actually sad at heart instead and so "Cindy" wants to help him. "Cindy" persuades the Grinch to return all the Christmas presents he stole and to celebrate Christmas with the "Whos".
