1. Kevin James's wife Steffania de la Cruz was a guest star on King of Queens
Steffania de la Cruz started out as a model and had a couple of small roles on different shows. Between 2002 and 2006 she appeared alongside husband-to-be Kevin James on King of Queens as a masseuse, a bartender and an employee at a nail salon. The couple also acted together in the film Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
Steffania and Kevin were set up on a blind date by his interior designer and got married in 2004. They have three kids, Sienna-Marie (*2005), Shea Joelle (*2007) and Kannon Valentine (*2011).
2. Doug's cousin Danny Heffernan is his brother
Doug and his cousin Danny look suspiciously alike. And so, it'll come as no surprise, that they are, in fact, closely related. Danny is played by Gary Joseph Knipfing, who is Kevin’s older brother.
Gary didn’t only appear alongside his brother on King of Queens, he also starred alongside his brother Kevin in the film Chuck and Larry.
3. Leah Remini used to be a member of Scientology
Leah Remini, also known as Carrie Heffernan, was a member of Scientology from the age of nine onwards, until she left the religious cult in 2013. Over the years, she raised millions of Dollars for the organization and actively solicited new members.
She left as she began to feel that David Miscavige, the leader of the church, was corrupt.
Remini now passionately campaigns against Scientology and its practices and is outspoken about her past as a part of the controversial organisation. She published her memoir Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology in 2015 and has been presenting the series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath since 2016.
4. Carrie's weight gains were actually due to pregnancy
Carrie Heffernan put on what seemed to be quite a bit of weight at one point. This was actually because Leah Remini was pregnant. Remini's daughter Sofia Bella was born in 2004.
