Christmas Chronicles 2: here's what we know so far!

Russell received acclaim for his performance as "Santa Claus" in the first Christmas Chronicles movie, so it's not surprising that he's back to play the jolly man in red! His on-and-off-screen partner Hawn once again joins him as "Santa's" wife "Mrs. Claus." And as Entertainment Tonight mentions, "much of the original cast" is returning for the second installment!

This includes 13-year-old Darby Camp as "Kate Pierce," who— as Entertainment Weekly shares— "reunites with the Clauses when the infamous troublemaker known as the Belsnickel (Julian Dennison) threatens to destroy Christmas." Harry Potter director Chris Columbus has taken the reins as both director and co-writer of The Christmas Chronicles 2, working opposite the writer of the first movie, Matt Lieberman.

What's perhaps most exciting to fans of the holiday franchise is that the Christmas Chronicles sequel finally has a release date! Netflix's teaser trailer for The Christmas Chronicles 2 announced that the movie will be released on November 25, which means that Russell and Hawn— and the rest of the cast— will be back on your screens spreading Christmas cheer in time for the holiday season!
