'Lizzie McGuire' Reboot: Original Series Creator Exits The Show
With mans fans excitedly anticipating the new revival of Lizzie McGuire on Disney+, an announcement has just been made that the original show creator, Terri Minsky, has quit the project. Here's what we know...
There has been a change on the set of the Lizzie McGuire revival. A spokesperson from Disney made the following statement: "Fans have a sentimental attachment to Lizzie McGuire and high expectations for a new series. After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the series," according to EW.
Hilary Duff is on her honeymoon with Matthew Koma
Variety first reported the news and according to them, at this point, no new showrunner has been announced. Production at this time has been put on hold because of this transition as well as the fact that Hilary Duff is on her honeymoon with her new husband, Matthew Koma.
No premiere date set for the Lizzie McGuire revival yet
Hilary Duff previously stated, "The good news is, just like me and everybody who loved Lizzie and has grown up with her, Lizzie’s also grown up. She’s older, she’s wiser, she has a much bigger shoe budget, which is super-exciting. She has her dream job. She has kind of the perfect life right now… And she’s getting ready to celebrate her 30th birthday." We hope they get back to filming soon as we can't wait for reboot to premiere!
