'NCIS: Los Angeles': His Temporary Departure Will Bring A "Dark Turn" For "Eric"

Barrett Foa portrays "Eric" in the CBS crime procedural NCIS: Los Angeles, but it seems like the actor wants to pursue other professional opportunities and he will miss five episodes of the current season.

NCIS: Los Angeles fans were truly surprised after learning that one of his favorite characters will exit the series for a short leave of absence! The crime procedural series will lose "Eric Beale" (Barrett Foa) for a while, but he will reportedly bring a "dark turn" and some drama upon his return.

Barrett Foa will miss five episodes of the current season in order to pursue other professional opportunities. Meanwhile, "Eric" will reportedly get an unbelievable job offer in NCIS: LA, which will lead to his temporary departure from the show.

Barrett Foa opened up about his leave of absence on Instagram

The 41-year-old actor recently opened up about the situation on his Instagram account. "Missing my NCIS: Los Angeles family so much right now as they dive into what is sure to be an incredible and unforgettable Season 11. Meanwhile, I'll be flexing some different muscles by diving into this complex and beautiful Pulitzer Prize-winning play," the actor posted.
