A new trailer for Martin Scorsese's The Irishman was released on Wednesday night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallonand we were very excited about learning more details about the plot! The clip shows "Frank 'The Irishman' Sheeran" (Robert De Niro) fighting in Italy during World War II, and being introduced to "Jimmy Hoffa" (Al Pacino) through "Rusell Bufalino" (Joe Pesci.)

Based on the 2004 Charles Brandt's book I Heard You Paint Houses, and written by Steven Zaillian, The Irishman tells the story of "Sheeran's" life; the new trailer hints at his rumored role in President Kennedy's assassination and at his alleged participation in "Hoffa's" disappearance.

What else do we know about The Irishman?

The film will premiere at the 57th New York Film Festival this Friday September 27th 2019, and then will reach limited theaters on November 1st, before being digitally released on Netflix on November 27th. Robert De Niro and Al Pacino will share film credits with Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Harvey Keitel, Anna Paquin, and Jesse Plemons.
