'Riverdale': Cast Member Skeet Ulrich Will Leave The Show After Season 4

Riverdale star Skeet Ulrich is leaving the CW series after its current fourth season. Ulrich portrayed "F.P. Jones," the father of "Jughead," since the first season of Riverdale. He announced his departure on Sunday.

News broke on Sunday that Riverdale cast member Skeet Ulrich is departing from the show at the conclusion of season 4. 

The former Scream star portrayed "F.P. Jones" on Riverdale. He is the father of Cole Sprouse's "Jughead Jones" on the show.

It is unknown how the fate of "F.P." will play out over the remainder of season 4, which is airing now on CW.

'Riverdale' cast member Skeet Ulrich announces he's moving on

Ulrich shared the news of his departure in an interview with TVLine.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the friendships I've made on Riverdale, and I will miss seeing everyone on a daily basis," he said. 

"I'm proud to have been part of such a talented group of people, in front of the camera and behind. But I've decided that it’s time for me to move on to explore other creative opportunities."

Riverdale season 4 is airing on CW

Riverdale is in the middle of airing its fourth season. A new episode of the show airs on Wednesday, February 26.

Fans of Riverdale are wondering if Ulrich's departure will be addressed in the season's remaining episodes.

As for his other creative opportunities, Ulrich is set to star in the upcoming films BIOS and #Freerayshawn.
