'Saturday Night Live' Makes History With Casting Bowen Yang

Saturday Night Live season 45 will premiere on September 28 2019 and Bowen Yang was recently announced as a new cast member!

Saturday Night Live just announced that the show is adding three featured stars to its cast for the upcoming season 45! And good news is that one of them is the 29-year-old actor, writer and comedian Bowen Yang, who will be the first cast member of full East Asian descent on the show, as well as the third openly gay male cast member after John Milhiser and Terry Sweeney.

Bowen Yang got a bachelor's degree in chemistry but he is actually best known for posting videos of himself in his Twitter account, where he lip-syncs to the voice of different stars like Cardi B. Fans also like to see him lip-syncing famous film scenes like Miranda Priestly's monologues in The Devil Wears Prada. was named to Forbes Magazine's 30 Under 30 - Hollywood & Entertainment 2019 list.
