'Saved By The Bell' Reboot To Premiere On NBC's Peacock In November
On Tuesday, Peacock shared a new teaser trailer for their Saved by the Bell reboot that finally revealed the show's release date! Fans won't have to wait long to see their favourite characters from the 1989 sitcom again, as the series is set to premiere at the end of November. Find out more here!
Saved by the Bell is getting a modern-day reboot from NBC's streaming service Peacock, and now we know when it will be premiering! As Entertainment Tonight reports, a new teaser for the show was released on Tuesday that also revealed its release date!
Saved by the Bell reboot takes place 30 years after show
Saved by the Bell first premiered in 1989 and centered around the lives of a group of students at California's Bayside High. The teen sitcom's original cast included Mark-Paul Gosselaar as "Zack Morris," Mario Lopez as "A.C. Slater," and Elizabeth Berkley as "Jessie Spano". And while the show is getting rebooted, it will still be focusing on some of the characters fans know and love— 30 years later!
As Entertainment Tonight shares, the reboot picks up as "Zack," who is now the governor of California, "gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state, including his alma mater, Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the overprivileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality."
Saved by the Bell reboot set to debut around Thanksgiving
Saved by the Bell fans were excited to learn last September that a reboot of the beloved show was officially happening! In April of this year, the first teaser trailer was released, which sees "A.C" and "Jessie" reminiscing about their high school days while also introducing some brand-new characters who are part of the next generation of Bayside High teens.
Peacock's newest teaser for the series is only about 15 seconds long, and features a peacock strutting through the halls of the famed high school. At the end, the show's release date of November 25 flashes on-screen in colourful numbers! This means that it will premiere right before American Thanksgiving, which takes place the day after. We're excited to see this new take on Saved by the Bell, and find out what the rest of the characters are up to in modern times!
