Audiences worldwide tuned in excitedly to follow the tragic romance between Ralph de Bricassart, a priest, and Meggie Cleary, a farmer's daughter. Young Meggie made Ralph seriously question his vows of celibacy!
After the series was over, Rachel stayed true to show business, but started spending a lot more time behind the camera instead of in front of it. She also appeared in the films, Against All Odds and Bobbie's Girl.
