These TV Shows Are Based On Real-Life Events & People
The TV show "Sex and the City" is about the love life of four Women who live in New York City. What many don't know is that the story itself was based on an actual columnist.
Candace Bushnell is an author & columnist. In 1993, she started writing for the "New York Observer". Approximately one year later, Candace published her column called Sex and the City, which was later published as a book. The TV show followed a few months later. Ron Galotti was most likely the inspiration for the "Sex and the City" character "Mr. Big". Galotti is as a publisher who works with high-end magazines such as "Vogue", "GQ", and even "Vanity Fair". Candace opened up about a relationship she had with Galotti back in the 90s during an interview with "ELLE".
The creators of How I Met Your Mother, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas were originally inspired by their friendship as well as their everyday lives in New York City. The character "Ted Mosby" stems directly from Craig himself (the portrait to the right).
The story "Ted" tells his kids about all of his crazy experiences with "Marshall", "Lily", "Robin" and "Barney" in the series How I Met Your Mother is, without a doubt, legendary and is known as one of the most popular TV shows of the decade. Kathy Reichs currently as an author & forensic anthropologist. Her novel tells the story of "Dr. Temperance 'Tempe' Brennan" as she solves complex murder cases using the bones left from the victims. In 2005, Kathy was approached by FOX and together they created the hit series Bones.
The Tudors tells the story of the British King Henry VIII and his six wives. The actor of Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("Henry VIII") and the true King differ greatly with regards to their appearance. Jonathan is slim and attractive, while King Henry VIII had red hair, a full beard and was rather chubby. However, the series itself is based on his life, not his looks.

Amy Sherman-Palladino (52) is as the writer, producer and director of the TV series Gilmore Girls. Her best friend Helen Pai is the true "Lane Kim". Helen was also co-executive producer of the series.
