'This Is Us' Renewed For Three Seasons at NBC
The hit drama series This Is Us is currently in its third season and NBC has just announced that it will be renewed for three more seasons. This Is Us is one of the most compelling and most-watched series on television right now and we couldn't be happier about the renewal news!
With an amazing cast consisting of Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Milo Ventimiglia, Chris Sullivan and Susan Kelechi Watson, we aren't surprised about the news of a three season renewal. Not only does This Is Us have an amazing cast, the plot and production are incredibly compelling.
This Is Us is the Number 1 Scripted Broadcast Series
This Is Us ranks as one of the top shows on all of television right now and is "the number one scripted broadcast series in the key adults 18-49 demographic" according to Variety. The third season of the show averaged an outstanding 13.8 million viewers.
The End of Season 3
The shows follows the "Pearson" family through multiple generations and time periods, not consistently, but very accurately. The third season ended with a big jump to the future with "Rebecca Pearson" (Mandy Moore) bedridden and living with her son "Kevin" (Justin Hartley). Therefore we can expect the fourth season to further explore "Rebecca" and everything that led to the future.
Season 4 Premiere Episode is Already Written
"Our world's going to expand a little bit in a really interesting way. I think where we're starting the season is as ambitious as we've been," commented executive producer Dan Fogelman according to Variety. He also made the statement that he has already written the season 4 premiere episode. If you are anything like us, we can hardly wait! Stay tuned for updates...
