The Bold and the Beautiful has been on the air since 1987, and even though it started as just a spin-off of The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful is one of the most successful TV-series all over the world. The show has already won – believe it or not – 31 Daytime-Emmys!
Ever since the first episode in 1987, Katherine Kelly Lang has played the part of the beautiful "Brooke Logan". Even though the relationship to her big love "Ridge Forrester" (Ronn Moss) is kind of an on-and-off thing, the lovers can‘t live without each other. "Brooke" and "Ridge" were actually married several times, breaking up just as often...
Besides The Bold and the Beautiful, Katherine Kelly Lang played in movies like Desperate Lives (1982) and Subliminal Seduction (1996), but no part was ever as successful as portraying "Brooke" on the famous soap opera. Katherine’s private life has been rather quiet. She has divorced twice and is a mother of two.
Ronn Moss became famous by playing the part of "Ridge Forrester" in The Bold and the Beautiful. As well as his father "Eric" (John McCook), "Ridge" is one of the best designers in the U.S. Despite other flings and affairs, "Ridge" always finds his way back to – the one and only - "Brooke".
Shocking all of his fans, Moss left the soap opera in 2012. Besides acting, Ronn Moss‘ big passion is music. With "Baby Come Back", Moss even had a number one hit. In 2012, Moss was a contestant on the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars, taking second place in the competition.
"Stephanie Forrester" was the matriarch of the "Forresters" and took care of her loved ones with might and main. She always had a love-hate relationship with her son’s wife, "Brooke". In 2012 Susan decided to leave the soap, and "Stephanie Forrester" eventually died in her daughter-in-law’s arms.
Susan Flannery is said to be the "Queen of Soap Opera". In addition to The Bold and the Beautiful, Susan has also been part of the cast of Days of our Lives and Dallas as well. As if she needed any proof of her talent as an actress, she has received an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award over the course of her career.
John McCook, known as the head of the firm, "Eric Forrester", loves his job as a designer as much as the beautiful women in the series. Naturally, his wife "Stephanie" (Susan Flannery) always keeps an eye on him.
Before The Bold and the Beautiful, John McCook already had a part in the soap opera The Young and the Restless, starting in 1976. Besides acting, singing is one of McCook‘s many talents.
Since 1990, Hunter Tylo had the part of the charming psychologist "Dr Taylor Hayes" in The Bold and the Beautiful. "Hayes" was "Brooke’s" (Katherine Kelly Lang) biggest rival when it came to "Ridge" (Ronn Moss), whom "Dr Hayes" was in love with as well.
The beautiful Hunter Tylo intended to leave The Bold and the Beautiful for a part in Melrose Place. However, Tylo got pregnant so she never got the role. Besides The Bold and the Beautiful, Hunter Tylo didn’t have much success as an actress but found her role in her private life.
"Thorne", played by Winsor Harmon, is "Eric Forrester’s" (John McCook) second son. He seems to never get out of his older brother "Ridge’s" (Ronn Moss) shadow. This is the main reason for the constant fighting between the two siblings...
Winsor Harmon is already the second actor playing "Thorne" in The Bold and the Beautiful. Until 1996, the actor Jeff Trachta was the face known for the part. Before his career as an actor, the heartthrob Winsor Harmon had been one of the famous male models of the Ford agency. By now, he is only rarely featured in The Bold and the Beautiful.
The beautiful Schae Harrison, most people know her as "Darla Einstein", joined The Bold and the Beautiful in 1989. She fell in love with "Thorne Forrester" and married him. Together, the couple had a daughter, "Aly". Unfortunately, "Darla" died as a result of injuries sustained in a car crash.
Schae Harrison had several guest parts in various TV series, but she never had one big breakthrough. Harrison married her The Bold and Beautiful co-star Mick Cain, who played "C.J. Garrison" in the soap. The couple have a son together.
The mettlesome Darlene Conley played "Sally Spectra" in The Bold and the Beautiful. On the show, her fictitious company "Spectra Fashion" was always one of the biggest and harshest competitors of "Forrester Creations". That‘s why there were always a whole lot of fights and animosities among her and the "Forresters".
In 2006 Darlene Conley left the extremely successful soap-opera The Bold and the Beautiful. One year later, in 2007 Conley died of cancer. The talented actress is the only soap opera star who‘s part of Madame Tussauds wax museum in London.
