Vanderpump Rules Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute Fired
The Black Lives Matter movement much like the Me Too movement is shedding light on the atrocious behavior of celebrities like Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller and now Vanderpump Rules stars are dropping like flies.
Fans will remember less than 2 years ago the Jax Taylor cheating scandal (one of many) involving tricked Faith Stowers on Vanderpump Rules. During this reality TV war, Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder went after Faith in vicious ways including filing a false police report accusing Faith of being a criminal they saw on the Daily Mail.
During an Instagram Live, Faith recalled the 2018 incident where "There was this article on Daily Mail where there was an African American lady. It was a weird photo, so she looked very light-skinned and had these different, weird tattoos. They showcased her, and I guess this woman was robbing people. And they called the cops and said it was me."
Stassi even openly spoke about calling the police on Faith on the B*tch Bible Podcast and tweeted "Hey tweeties, doesn’t this ex #pumprules thief look familiar? someone put her on MTV and gave her a platform for press. I didn’t wanna go there but I’m going there," with a link to the Daily Mail article.
Now Bravo has announced both Stassi and Doute have been fired from Vanderpump Rules (along with Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni) and both have issued apologies to Stowers. She told Page six "I feel so vindicated studios and production are able to see blatant racism and make these positive changes and help move the race forward -- help with the fight forward."
Former Vanderpump Rules star Billie Lee wrote an open letter to Bravo saying "I’m not here to tell you that Stassi or any of my previous cast members are racists but I will tell you their white cis privilege cost me my job and it looks like their privilege could of cost a black girl her life. Who’s next?"
Even Real Housewives of Potomac Candiace Dillard Bassett chimed in and said "Losing your job, especially on such a public platform is a blow. Instead of celebrating their fate let’s celebrate what it stands for: the tip of the iceberg Of dismantling a centuries long tirade of oppression & racism."
