A new deleted scene from Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood where the late actor Luke Perry appears opposite Timothy Olyphant has just been released! In the clip, Luke and Timothy appear as real-life actors Wayne Maunder and James Stacy in Lancer, as part of the recreation of the Western show that ran from 1968 to 1970 on CBS. Young actress Julia Butters also appears in the scene as "Trudi"!
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood was Luke Perry's last project before his tragic death
Luke Perry passed away in February 2019 after suffering a stroke. His last project was Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, where he bonded with Timothy Olyphant. "I haven’t met anyone who’s ever said a bad thing about the guy, and that was my experience hanging out with him and working with him. He showed up early and did his work, and we spent most of our time talking about our families and just enjoying the job. Just a lovely guy,” Olyphant told Variety back in April.
The deleted scene featuring Perry, also known for his work in Beverly Hills: 90210 and Riverdale, is part of the upcoming 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and digital releases of the movie. The movie stars Brad Pitt as stuntman "Cliff", Leonardo DiCaprio as "Dalton", and Margot Robbie as the real-life actress Sharon Tate.
