Will Eric Christian Olsen be leaving NCIS: L.A.?
There are currently ten series of Navy CIS: L.A. and it is as successful as ever, but fans are worried that Christian Olsen, who plays Deeks, will be leaving the series as he is currently working on three(!) new series.
Eric Christian Olsen (41) has played Detective Marty Deeks since 2009 and is a firm fan-favourite, especially because of his relationship with Kensi (Daniela Ruah, 35). Deeks and Kensi are in a relationship in the series, but in real life they are brother and sister-in-law.
However, fans are now worried that Olsen might leave Navy CIS: L.A. as he is working on several other projects.
Eric Christian Olsen is working on a new drama series with Michael Weatherly called First Lady. According to Deadline Hollywood, the forty-one-year-old also has two other new projects lined up, he will be producing both Nurses and Life Lessons for CBS.
Navy CIS: L.A. : Eric Christian Olsen is working on three new projects
Nurses is a hospital drama series about four nurses working in an emergency room. The show is based on the Finnish series Syke. In contrast to Nurses, Life Lessons is a comedy series, whose main protagonist becomes friends with a group of first graders after experiencing a series of life blows.
Whether Eric Christian Olsen will also be starring in one or both of these series remains a mystery, but he will definitely have his hands full working on all these new projects as well as playing Deeks. We do hope that we will be able to enjoy watching him in Navy CIS: L.A. for many years to come though!
